Rough and tough dad secretly falls in love with stray kitten he found in his garage after saying he will put it up for adoption, daughter finds them wholesomely attached at the hip

What a fine feline meowrning it is, I Can Has fam. The birds are chirping, Spring is springing, the litter box is clean, and we're full of fuzzy feel-goods to share with you today. We need all the help we can get on Meowndays as they are undoubtedly the ruffest day of the week, so if we fill our hooman hearts with wholesome fuel in the form of felines, then we're sure to get through the day at least a tiny bit easier.

Picture this: you're a dad (relatable) who is a rough and tough type of guy (not relatable). You find a smol, stray kitten in your garage, and you, like every dad ever, say "No, no, we can't keep it." You even go so far as to say you'll bring it to a shelter in a few days to put it up for adoption. Well, we all know how this story will end. His daughter came home to find him and the kitten attached at the hip, and it's purrfectly sweet. See more pics and the story below!

    She's was so friendly and way too young to be out on her own. So I told him to try to find the owner or the mom cat. He lives in a very rural area so first he walked along his property and couldn't find the mom. Then he knocked on every door within miles, no luck. Then he posted her on Next Door and Facebook, no luck.

    Well I visited him today and the lie detector determined.... THAT WAS A LIE!! He actually took her to the vet, got her chipped and fixed up real nice. He said he wanted to surprise me so he kept it secret for a week lol. He named her Clover-Ann and they're attached at the hip. He took her

    Never in a million years did I think he would have a cat, he's a real rough and tough type of guy. I have no clue how she found her way to his garage. There aren't any houses around that part of the land and I TNR'd all the usual barn cats years ago. We did have

    a ton of flooding recently so I suppose she could have gotten swept up and carried in the creek? But that would have been some serious swimming for a nugget this small! I guess we'll never know but nonetheless, thanks CDS!

  • Oh, jeez. The comments are right, though, that is her dad now. She's a daddy's girl and she doesn't like to share. Better watch out - she knows where you sleep and which shoes are yours. It might be in your best interest to check twice before putting them on…you might find an unwelcome surprise in there if you're not careful.
